In a bid to offer businesses the ability to enhance their communications and reduce telecom costs, VoSKY (News - Alert) has announced VoSKY Exchange Pro.

 

The provider of Skype for business solutions latest release, which is scheduled to ship in the fourth quarter, is a turnkey PBX (News - Alert)-to-Skype appliance that makes it possible for businesses to achieve the goal of improved communications capabilities while bringing down telecom costs.

 

"VoSKY Exchange Pro is a true plug-and-play solution for Skype (News - Alert)-enabling the PBX. Connect it to the appropriate ports on a PBX/KTS, and the only other thing you need to do to get started is to sign up for a Skype account," said David Tang, Vice President of Global Marketing for VoSKY Technologies in a statement to the press.

 

"It's a strong addition to our VoSKY Exchange product line that provides businesses and resellers with a new option that will help streamline the deployment and maintenance process," Tang also noted.

 

With VoSKY Exchange's family of VoIP gateways, it is possible for the business environment to make the best use of Skype from their desktop phones and without the need for PCs or headsets. With the Exchange platform companies may also place free calls amongst other office locations and as well as free calls between other Exchange-equipped offices and Skype users, among other benefits.

 

The new Exchange Pro offering will come pre-loaded with Skype and the VoSKY Exchange application.

 

The company notes that VoSKY Exchange Pro will be available in two eight-port FXS and FXO models supporting eight Skype or SkypeOut lines in a single box.

 

VoSKY Pro VIO8 FXO PBX-to-Skype appliance will connect to any TDM or IP PBX through FXS station ports and the VoSKY Pro VIS8 FXS PBX-to-Skype appliance will connect through TXO trunk ports.

 

According to a news release, the new edition will also simplify installation, save rack space and expedite troubleshooting by integrating software and hardware into a standalone 1U rackmount appliance.

 

VoSKY is demonstrating this new addition at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO happening now. The VoSKY Exchange Pro demo will be held at the VoSKY seminar at 2 pm on Tuesday, September 11, in meeting room 507.
